Trump signs Medicare cut

It was cruel and heartless for Trump to sign the tax bill today. Millions will suffer as soon at the clock strikes 12 bringing in the New Year . All he had to do was wait til Jan 3rd, but his ego is too big to do anything that would benefit anyone other then himself.

Why wait? House Republicans left the PAYGO provision out of a year-end spending deal to avoid a government shutdown before Friday. PAYGO, or pay-as-you-go, is a budget rule requiring that tax cuts as well as increases in mandatory spending and entitlement programs like Medicare and Social Security must be covered by tax increases or cuts in mandatory spending, according to the Tax Policy Center.

By leaving out the provision, automatic cuts to Medicare and other mandatory spending programs would be activated by the tax reform bill in January because the bill increases the deficit by $1.5 trillion over 10 years. Waiting to sign the bill would delay those cuts until 2019.

Republican leadership has said those cuts would not be triggered if Trump signs the bill before the end of the year. However, it would require a waiver, meaning support from enough Democrats in the Senate to deliver 60 votes.

P.S. I still maintain as I did a year ago that it is possible this country is headed toward Civil War. It's a good thing that  Republicans (whatever these people are) support the gun lobby.

Forget about Trump and his collusion with the Russians just for a moment. What really makes me sick is the action that The Democratic women senators took on Tuesday, Dec 5th in the middle of the night phoning and texting and emailing one another, forming a bloodthirsty cabal appointing themselves Judge, Jury and Executioners of Al Franken’s legacy.  They took away his legal rights, AND they spat in the face of the United States constitution which guarantees a person due process.

That makes all the Democratic Woman in government who got on this unconstitutional bandwagon GUILTY of collusion. They bullied him, shamed him, and forced him into resigning for what they and they alone perceived to be "the right thing to do!" They tarred and feathered this guy and ran him out of town.

I watched CNN last night as they came on one by one with pursed lips shaking their heads, feigning disappointment in Al. "We are so sorry this happened, but it was the right thing to do." They agreed.

Oh really?

Maybe they should take look at themselves in the mirror and instead of bitching about Trump admit that what they did WAS NOT the right thing to do. Bullying and threatening and shaming is NOT the right thing to do. In fact, it smells of the political styles of Oligarchies, Dictatorships and Fascists. Everything Trump has been accused of.

 THE RIGHT THING to do would be to issue a formal apology to Al Franken and  John Conyers.the American people and have them reinstated.

I DO NOT CARE if Al squeezed an adult woman's butt eight years ago. None of the people I spoke to care.

I care that   I was abused for 15 years as a child by my adult brother Michael Holosko who now teaches at the University of Georgia, and sits smugly ensconced in the safety of Tenure. I care about Roy Moore and his alleged penchant for little girls. These are things to care about!

At least Trump is honest about what he represents and maybe there is something to this loyalty thing he obsesses about.  I guess the real difference between the Republicans and the Democrats is that Republicans will stand by their man or woman no matter what the consequences and the Democrats will throw their own under the bus the first chance they get at the expense of the constitution of the United States of America.

So now, since we are all on the same page on this issue; Democrats as closet dictators and Trump outed, and since I have a far from perfect past…I would rather be a Republican and know someone has my back, then a Democrat and be burned at the stake.  

NOTE to Al:  I bet your constituents feel the same!!! Ask them. And please, leave these inquisitors in the dirt, join the Independent Party and kick some ass!

Same goes for you John Conyers.

Trump vs Pocahontas Shame!

Trump has used the name of Pocahontas to describe Senator Warren.

I believe that he purposely used the name of Pocahontas in a derogatory manner.  As an  insult it is stunningly ignorant, vengeful, disrespectful, and most of all abusive.

This is an example of blatant discrimination against the Indigenous people of our great country... who can also vote!

The Native American population have had a long history of being abused. Not only by white mans' guns but also by white mans' slang.

Pine Ridge, for example, is a  reservation located  in South Dakota. By all accounts it is  described as a Third World country. Many of the Native Americans who live there  suffer from severe poverty- with no running water and no stove for cooking. They rely solely on frozen and  low quality food which causes diabetes and heart attacks at an alarming rate.

The average life span in Pine Ridge  is 48 for men and 52 for women. They have a  90% unemployment rate and suffer from 80% alcoholism.

One in four babies are born with alcohol fetal syndrome and teenagers are committing suicide  at  a rate of once a month.

The average household income is $5000 a year. (So when we say that "Indians" don't pay taxes keep in mind there are no taxes to pay at $5000 a year).

Common folklore points out that Native Americans are rich because of gambling casinos. What folklore doesn't mention is that the majority of reservations are 100s of miles away from any town center so building one won't work.

On the other hand, it was kind of white society to give them gambling especially since we introduced them to alcohol took their land, killed their women, children and left few men standing.

I guess gambling was the next logical step. Tobacco, casinos and alcohol...great for society.
Keeps communities safe and crime free.

 Not.

It is from this environment that the  majority of Native children are born. These young girls and boys have few role models to call their own.  Their people have been desimated, and their oral storytelling tradition irreparably damaged. Stories about the lives of their Native hero's and have been lost along the way.

Pocahontas holds a special place in the hearts Native People. ..and she has a really cool story.

Pocahantas was  born 1595 and died 1617. At 18  she met a man named Thomas Rolfe who was a very rich tobacco farmer living in Jamestown Virginia.

She could have been traded to him or taken forcibly but whatever the case Thomas   made her his wife. Up to this point an interracial marriage between a white man and a Native American woman had never been legally sanctioned.

A historic first.

The tobacco industry was at its infancy in the 1700's and her husband was called to the British Court to hash out trade routes and finances.

Pocahontas agreed to come to London as the first Native American women received by the British court. Once there she became a curiosity. This visit was her opportunity to educate the most influencial court in the world on the ways of her people.

In  the picture below you can see Pocahontas as she was dressed for the English court.

Unfortunately, like millions of  Native peoples killed by white mans diseases   she did not have the resistance to fight infection. She died in 1617 at 22 years of age in Gravesend Kent England.

This brave woman (of a rare and mixed marriage) embarked on a  courageous  journey sailing hundred of miles to share her culture with the world.

She is kick-ass!

Pocahontas was the first woman and Native American to be commemorated on a five cent stamp .1907.

Major historic first !

This is why Native girl and non native and girls everywhere are inspired by her achievements.

Pocahontas the real Pocahontas is not just a black haired beauty in skimpy cowhide with breats spilling out. She is not just a Disney character. She is not a white man's sexual fantasy of what a Native Woman represents.

She is however  a role model for Native and Non-native  woman everywhere.

Degradation of this sacred figure is messed up.

And to call any woman  Pocahantas as a public insult is so not cool ....Donald.

Senator Warren can own this one with pride. Clearly both women are kick-ass.

Sexual Harassment Witch Hunt? Charlie Rose

When I learned that Charlie Rose was fired for being accused  of sexual harassment, it dawned on me that a man's 50 years career was horribly tainted... forever. The Internet never forgets!

What kind of country do we live in that fires people based on accusations? What happened to innocent til proven guilty. Why do I get the feeling that this is an Inquisition free for all.

 If I were a guy I'd be scared shitless right now.

And then I got to thinking how many women hit on men like Charlie Rose to get ahead in the business?

I do not have answers I believe women have a right to point out their abuser. What bothers me is the snap decisions made that can ruin someone's life based on what another person says.

Stop Murdering Elephants Trump Administration

Today the United States under the leadership of Donald Trump began the slaughter of millions of more elephant who are already on the endangered species. Maybe their territory is encroaching on a golf course.   This is sick and unacceptable.

And please keep in mind most hunters are merciless cowards. A large majority of  elephants are killed by cyanide poisoning. That's right. The cowards way out, the most painful way to die which can last for weeks. And when another animal eats the flesh it can become infected never mind a musing elephant new born.

Here is a prayer I found online written to the Trump administration shows the visceral hatred for this action.

Shame and more shame Trump. Shame for the bloodshed the terror and pain you have unleashed on the gentle giants of the world. And to you all politicians who passed this bill let the horror inflicted  on these great beasts be revisited  on your children and your children's, children tenfold.

US Fish and Wildlife service will remove the ban against importing trophies from elephants killed in Zimbabwe and Zambia back to the US.The Obama Administration put the ban in place in 2014 after elephant numbers dropped.Hunting advocacy groups cheered the move, while animal rights activists decried it.

The Trump Administration will remove protections against importing trophies from elephants hunted legally in Zimbabwe into the US, in a reversal of Obama-era policy.

That means that US hunters will be able to bring the ivory of elephants they have killed back into the US, potentially disrupting the movement to end the global ivory trade. The move also applies to elephants shot and killed in Zambia.

While hunting elephants is legal in a number of African countries - under a strict permitting system where hunters pay high fees for the privilege - the Obama Administration put restrictions on the import of trophies in place in 2014 after the number of elephants dropped.

Today I read that John Kelly called the Congress woman Frederica Wilson "selfish" in context of the military phone call debacle with Trump.

What right does he have to call people names?
Calling women names.
Calling a black woman names

He has no right.

Is he taking cues from his master?

Democrats and Harvey Weinstein

Democrats should not feel obligated to return Weinstein donations.

Consider this.

You have a charity and someone makes a donation. A year later you find out they are a serial killer.

Should you give the money back?

How on earth can donors be  scrutinized for behavior and why should a donor be prevented from making a donation because of their behaviour?

Does this mean that if a person who is a murderer wants to buy my book I cannot sell it?

What if a drug dealer walks into  my Gallery in Miami and wants to  purchase my sculpture. Should I be prevented from selling?

What if Harvey Weinstein donated to PETA, Shriners Hospital or  Breast Cancer research. Should they give the money back?

Not.

Trump. Dictatorship in the Making?

Here's  a thought. ..

There is  a method to Trump's madness whether he is consciousness of it or not. I believe Putin has pointed out that  firing people in political positions are the building blocks for  creating   a Dictatorship or an Oligarchy.

When government positions are vacated Trump must take over the  decision making for that open position.

As more people are ousted, the more power that Trump will have and the more power he has the closer he gets to defining a dictatorship model of politics for America.

Las Vegas Shooting Two killers?

Prayers to all those who experienced this torture and will continue to do so for many years to come. The horror the pain the   guilt, love and courage in the face of hell. We bow our heads.

I believe that there were two shooters.  The door was left open because the first guy ran out expecting his partner to follow.
This was planned for years. The rooms at the hotel are hard to book,  the guns had to be bought, they had to train to use them. This was meticulously organized, like a wedding.  This is how the mind of an accountant works.

My questions are: Who makes such detailed plans on their own? This was a killing party.

Was there more then one partner?

A single person might say that he wants to do this but then gets up in the morning and changes his mind. Partners in crime do not.  They encourage one another like the  majority of  mass killers. Think Bonnie and Clyde, the Menendez Brothers, Charles Manson and many other killing teams.

It would be too lonely to plan this in isolation. It would be no fun. This was long term.

And if there was another person could he have also been an internet friend?
I believe that they were headed to the car to blow themselves up but that part of the plan was foiled.

Was this account counting cards or trying to cheat the casino with a partner? Was he caught?

Help our Dog Shelters in Florida Please

Hurricane Irma Damaged our Dog Shelter in CENTRAL FLORIDA HIGHLANDS COUNTY

The Humane Society of Highlands in Central Florida and tend to be overlooked by larger rescue groups.  After the Florida Keys, we were hit the hardest and have been declared a Disaster Zone. How can you help?

Our staff is exhausted, our dogs are traumatized, but just last week we got water and air-conditioning.

                      

Our Little St. Francis Sculpture Survived.

Currently, we have 75 dogs and around 50 cats in our shelter. We are working at full capacity and cannot intake anymore animals. Our biggest wish is to ship these dogs to forever homes.

Thankfully our rescued No-Name Puppies are oblivious but others are suffering.

When a dog enters the shelter, our challenge is to convince them that they are good dogs and did nothing wrong. The shock of Irma hurt, and without our regular volunteers it’s difficult to tend to their emotional needs. Our solution?  We have enlisted the puppies to work with the older dogs and they are doing an excellent job. Who can’t be cheered up by a wee one?

What I did not count on were the “Hoarders”. Just last week we found a home with over a hundred

cats. And I did not expect the intakes from the flooded Puppy Mills hidden in the back roads and  finding  cages of dogs buried in ditches stuck in the mud who were rescued by the Sheriff’s department. Some dogs had been purposely blinded so they would not run away.  We finally know where these places are located who runs them and the Sheriff’s Office can now shut them down.

We have also found dogs tied to fences and cars, their backs and legs broken from the storm.  Many people panicked could not take their animals with them and tied them up instead of letting them take their chances.  We are performing emergency triage, but without our Vet our efforts are limited.

I use my own time and resources to further my vision.  I was inspired to continue my work after Bark Magazine chose to feature me in the Xmas edition, 2017. Because of that article I gained confidence and could define my mission to go into High-Risk Rural areas, boost staff morale, kiss some dogs, hug a puppy and get them the things that they need.  Before the storm hit I secured 6000lbs of dog food as a donation to  Animal Services.  That feeds 30 dogs a day for 6 months!

NFL, Kneeling, Patriotism and Donald Trump

Kneeling nonsense reigns.

Look at it this way. In every church I have ever entered kneeling is the highest form of respect and reverence.  Mankind has been kneeling in front of God and Kings and Queens since the beginning of time. We kneel to be knighted, to be forgiven to beg for mercy.

It has nothing to do with disrespect in any culture anywhere on the planet.

Why would kneeling in front of our flag be any different? 

Dog Shelters Flooded Please Help

The dog  shelters that I sponsor are located in Central Florida. After the Florida Keys this area  was hit the hardest. Because they are located in the middle of the state they have been overlooked .
They still do not have running water or electricity and have been declared a state of emergency. FEMA has not yet reached these areas.

The kennels have been destroyed the cages flooded. Dogs and cats have been  found  terrified and traumatized,  tied to houses and cars many with broken legs.

What I didn't count on were the Puppy Mills that hide deep in the back woods flooded. We have found cages of puppies in ditches and on the road side.

Also the Hoarders whose houses have been flooded are releasing animals into the street.We found 100 cats and 43 dogs yesterday.

The Staff are overwhelmed and brave.

I've prayed to him  many times in my life and  he has never disappointed me. And I believe that  if you pray to him he will hear you as well.

The thing about St. Jude is that if you pray to him you must promise to pay it forward and tell others about him.

DACA ISSUES Long Term

I do not think that the problem is with the 800,000 Dreamers. However, once they start sponsoring relatives that number of people admitted in the US could reach over 5 million.  The US economy cannot take that influx which will come around the same time when these kids become financially solvent.  

That does not count the children that they will have.

Maybe we could limit or not allow sponsorship for relatives?

Now I am off to Miami to save 300 shelter dogs.

Together they had a beautiful inspirational visit to  Texas. Karen Pence said a heartfelt prayer and it mattered. Mike picked up some trash and showed solidarity with the people of Texas.
They should be President and First Lady. Oh, wait... Maybe they will be.

DOG RESCUE TEXAS HARVEY IMPORTANT

Many people including myself are headed down for dog rescue in Texas.  I focus on first Responder rescue.

DRY DOG FOOD WON'T  WORK IN A FLOODED AREA.

U  are going to need BEEF JERKY a lot of it.

Also buy protein shakes at the health food store and mix it with the dogs water when meals get low.
And any other foods that you can't think of that DO NOT need refrigeration. SPAM will work. Don't get me wrong I love spam but canned meat works for dogs and their humans. You will get hungry too.

Watch for accidents the dogs will be traumatized AND may have diarrhea.

Get some DEPENDS . Really. It is hard to transport a dog with diarrhea.

Finally Please bring muzzles. A traumatized dog can be dangerous.

Tons of absorbent car wash towels.
Regular towels will get wet and moldy.

FIRST AID KIT.
GO Phones in plastic baggies.
fully charged extra batteries

The reason people are dying in their cars is because the electric windows lock shut when the computer fries from the rain. This is what they are NOT telling us.

Mexico Offers to Help Texas

The Mexican government reached out to the Texas Governor today and offered to help them with the disaster in anyway they can.  Very classy since Trump continues to shit on them.

Beautiful  Oprah has found Magic Mushrooms

Who thought of this?

 Aside from the fact that the  O magazine is too expensive for me... what keeps me from buying it off the Newsstand is the cover.  It's a little weird that Oprah graces every one and has the same "happy happy" smile on her face ALWAYS.  I have kept silent largely due to the fact that this women is a Guru and has changed my life in ways I never thought possible. I also know she's sensitive to criticism but she has  a great sense of humor so I'd like to think of this as a cute observation.

OPRAH is "Showing up for Life!" dressed like a Crazy Lady

Stop for a moment and take a look at the Uber hypo-Manic cover. Rest asured if I arrived at my psychiatrist''s office announcing that I was "showing up for life" wearing that outfit he'd up my medication. He might even make a phone call or two.

Let's explore the semiology of this photo and I will  explain why it's bad on so many levels.   Look at her eyes. Notice anything?
Because of the truckloads of mascara they look like alien eyes. Creepy 

And look at the outfit.  Please fire your stylist Oprah!

In this photo narrative, we are supposed to believe that  Oprah has just picked every flower that grows in her garden and has "Shown up for Life".

Judging from the sun it seems like the picture was taken around noon.  It  is clearly hot outside because it's not quite Fall . But Oprah is ready for the season change because despite the heat she is wearing a heavy sweater in a  dull purple grey that looks like it's been overused. Oprah. Why are you wearing this heavy sweater?

And lets look at the "elephant "in the room, the piece de résistance , the "Crazy Lady" skirt.  Oprah, what are you doing running around trippping over a pink sparkly skirt that drags sloppily on the ground picking way too many flowers in a garden that has only bushes? The skirt is just plain nuts.

Did she find some magic mushrooms among the flowers?

We are supposed to believe  that Oprah shows up in the garden in her Manic Mushroom Outfit and begins to search for flowers ripping them out of the ground with her squeaky clean hands  and places them in a wooden basket.

And if that were not enough please look at the boots. On this hot spring day while Oprah is searching for wildflowers  tripping over  her sparkly pick skirt  she decides to put on a pair of ugly green  rain boots. But these are not  just any boots. On this bright sunny day in which the grass is as dry as a bone she chooses to wear rubber boots. Yep!  Rubber boots which everyone knows get  hot and sweaty in the rain never mind the hot sun.




ILike I said it's  a Magic mushroom day in the garden with Oprah!  Bring on the men in white and whatever you do don't try this at home...or anywhere. You will not be showing up for life you'll be showing up for medication.

 My Banana Plant is ready to harvest and little Bert in his box.

Happy 76th day birthday Bert!

This morning Bert was born between 7 and 8 am in the morning.
The blue markings signify that he is a Baby Boy!
I did not see him emerge but found him hanging from the dill weed plant in my kitchen drying his wings. I took him outside in a really funky showbox, and let him rest until he got up and flew away.
I will miss my Bert.

Not only that... but the bananas on my Banana Plant are ready to be picked today.
Not only that... but yesterday I started a 21 day meditation series with Deepak Chopra and Oprah Winfrey. The meditation was called "Who and I- I am my Desire".

Am  I a butterfly?

The meditation today is called Empower me! (You can still join!! Just go to the Deepak Chopra web site).

This experience has been magical, wondrous and I am truely blessed.

But this is not over. 

What more could be instore for me on this Uber symbolic day.

P.S. For the last 76 days I have been photographing Bert's progress and the same time photographing the banana plant growing Bananas in my backyard. Great Book, great Art Show on the way.  See you soon. 

And.... don't be surprised if an Iindie film is made.  

 
P.S.S. Not only that....but yesterday my charity "Boots on the Ground", made contact with an Animal Shelter that is in dire need of the Basics. Think food, bleach, and water.  I will have an Amazon wish list set up this week, if you would be so kind and buy a couple of blankets or dog treats I would be so grateful.

Bert is born!!! 76th day!!!!!

Bert my little caterpillar was born between 7 and 8 am this morning.
I thought that this was a private and sacred time so I didn't want to film it.
But when I awoke Bert was hanging upside down on his loyal Dill Weed plant drying his wings.I cannot figure out how he got out of his little tomb.
I put him in a box and in about half and hour he was ready to go.
I know he is a boy because of the blue spots on his wings.
Oh. I forgot to mention that the bananas are ripe and ready to pick today! They started growing the day Bert entered his sarcophagus. Life. The day, today.Will I fly away?

I will miss my little Egyptian mummy Bert. Blessings Bert and happy journeys!!!!!😚💜🎵🎀🎉
