My father was the only man I ever knew who was personally hurt when he was not selected for jury duty. It was like he was a kid and this was something he always wanted to do. He was so excited to go down to the court and so very dissapointed when they dismissed him.

I will always remember how hard he took this. To him he was being rejected as a man who had worked all his life to do the right thing.

My father loved Prevention magazine. We would read it together. 

He also was passionate  about Popular Science! He would have loved the predictions that the magazine made which are coming to fruition in our time! 

Although....his fingers would have been too big for the cellphones of  today!

"Ancient Egypt Transformed.The Middle Kingdom" at the Met. What about those Ears? 10/18

WHAT ABOUT THOSE EARS?

 

The Metropolitan Museum in NYC had another amazing show called,  "Ancient Egypt transformed. The Middle Kingdom" I highly recommend that you pop for the five bucks and pick up the audio.

 

Besides the overall awesomeness, what struck me about the statues were the protruding ears of the subjects. Ears that I have never noticed on other statues from different Egyptian kingdoms.

 

I was curious. How did they do that? I asked myself.

 

So I pushed my ears forward trying for a similar position. But they got all crinkled and there was no way I could hold them like that for long without pain. To test this theory I tried pulling my husbands ears forward and his crinkled too.

The question I pondered was, " How did the Egyptians of the middle kingdom get their ears like that? 

(At the show, I even saw the head of a crocodile with human ears flattened forward. Clearly, ears were a big deal for this culture).

 

Then it occurred to me that to get the ears like that they would have had to cut the back of the ear and let it heal somehow bound in a forward position.

 

Could this be an example of early plastic surgery?

 

Either that or the people had flat ears or the artist portrayed them as such.  And this is highly unlikely because the artists of The Middle period were into realism.

Prayer for the ancient elephant murdered in Zimbabwe and the lion cub in Denmark

(An elephant so magnificent that it was the last  of its kind was killed by a German Nationalist this week at the same Zimbabwe reserve where Cecil the lion died)

(A lion cub was also slaughtered and dissected at the Odense  Zoo in Denmark the same zoo that killed a healthy giraffe last year.
Clearly, neither of these parties care to adjust their behavior even the face of public out cry. This behavior is psychotic.)

This is a prayer for both the beasts which I wrote for them.

Beasts of the past,
glory of your kind.

With you your brethren has passed into history

You will be a Wikipedia  fact and I will feel as a guilty party.

I grieve for you I grieve with you and I grieve for the world that has lost you.

Odense Zoo Lion Killers

I am here to report to you that once again the Odense Zoo in Demark has destroyed yet another world treasure proving  once again they are killers of ENDANGERED SPECIES. Remember they were the ones that killed the baby Giraffe and dissected it publically?

Well this time they decided to euthanize a nine month old lion and put it  in a freezer for a couple of months, take it out of the freezer, thaw it out, lay the body  in front of a group of children and begin the gruesome dissection by cutting out its  tongue first.

And why? Because it was a disruptive little fellow. What nine month old anything isn't? Also the zoos says it could not find a home for this ENDANGERED SPECIES. Right.

What is up with these people AT THE ODENSE ZOO. Close the zoo, get a staff of preservationists instead of unmedicated psychiatric patients.

Who made this decision again? Is there a big game killer  on the staff. Did a BIG GAME hunter pay for the privilege?

And clearly no matter how loud the outcry this place does not give a sh***.

Halloween Jewelery I designed

These are some pics I took for the necklace I designed called "Blood on My Hands" for Halloween.

This bitch just came out of a long and body battle.  The proof is some blood  on the inside of her hand and only she knows it's there. Just a little blood on the pinky nail is enough to scare the curious away.

Only the wearer knows what happened to her last partner if anything at all.

My father wrote when he passed away.  "for my daughter who loved the horses". This is a similar picture of the sculpture my father had in his house. He left it for me but it disappeared shortly after he fell and hit his head on the bathroom floor.   I wonder sometimes how my father really died! How did he fall as his son held him up.  A mystery? Really? 

Matisse will forgive me if I do two things

So I channeled my cat Matisse and he agreed that changing the food was not a good idea.

He said to me, You do two things for me and I will forgive you!" He told me that first  I have to go to the Blessing of the animals" day in NYC.,and second I have to make a sculpture of him. 

Unfortunately for me I channeled him too late. In the evening of Oct. 4, 2015 all the blessings at all the churches in NYC had passed.

I didn't know what to do. I would have to wait a full year before I was forgiven? I would not be forgiven till next year? 

Then he  interrupted my hysteria annoyed.  "Just go to any church tomorrow and bring my picture and ask for a blessing"

So the next day I walked to the Holy Trinity Church on 88TH ST. in Manhattan. And a Deacon blessed his picture.

But  Matisse still demanded," a sculpture of himself".

I did the sculpture just now.

I have fulfilled my tasks and I feel his forgiveness! He is going to hang around the house for a  couple of days until he leaves for good.

My. MATISSE. Did I kill my cat?

The first cat I ever loved died last week and I blame myself.

The month before I had lost two elder cats that were defecting all over the house by eating wet food. So after they were gone I decided not to feed the cats anymore wet food so that's what I gave Matisse. He was an elder cat 15 yrs. But I think the shock of the food change caused his kidneys to shut down.

I'm a mess and I feel Matisse is channeling me. Let me see what he says and I will get back to you.

WORLD FARM ANIMALS DAY OCT. 2ND

According to farmusa.org, 65 million animals are killed each year after living and dying in a lifecycle cycle fuled by horrific torture and pain. The movie Saw, is a walk in the park compared to what these animals suffer.

Some organizations like adaptt.org double that number up to 150 billion.

That's about 3000 animals slaughtered every second.

To make a little dent in this industrial bloodbath October 2nd has been set aside as, World Day For Farm Animals or World Farm Animals Day and NOT National farm animals day.

(the wording is contigent on what charity organization is involved)

What you can do tomorrow and on every October 2nd for the rest of your life is to hang with me and try not to eat any meat for the day. If you can't do that then just give it up for one meal.

Let's lighten the death karma. Let's see how it feels.
