The Second Amendment rules, the gun lobby is strong, and our politicians can’t afford to lose the money. On the other hand, guns are killing our children because Killers are using guns.

Here’s my take. I liken the purchase of a gun to  that of a car. My humble suggestion will not only create jobs, but will keep the gun manufacturers and dealers happy while ensuring that money keeps rolling in for the government. 

 My option MAY maximize the safety of our children and of ourselves.

 And you ask: “Hey Kay ! In all your infinite wisdom and think tank genius what’s up?”

 And I say: “Check this out!”

 Ready?

 If you want to purchase a gun you’ve got to get a license, right? How come that license doesn’t require the same training and education classes as if you are getting a car permit? I think it should.

Here’s how I see it working:

If a person goes to purchase a gun they get their regular background check, right? But I would like to take that one step further. Once the gun is purchased, it is shipped to a local shooting range where the person will have to be trained and educated about guns and gun violence. Then, like a car license they will take a written and practical test at a DMV like place before they can bring the gun home. I cannot guarantee that this will end gun violence but it will certainly curb it considerably and at the same time protect the Second Amendment.

I do not drink coffee. I have always likened coffee shops to the Opium dens in London during the 1800's that existed on every street corner. 

And even though some of you might consider this to be an extreme  analogy I have personally witnessed terribly addicted friends who cannot function without coffee have headaches and freak out emotionally if the extra shot is not forthcoming.

I have also found studies that support my suspicions and suggest that drinking coffee  is responsible for bladder leakage, and I think that's why Adult Diaper companies like Depends are seeing dramatic increases in the sales of their product.

 

According to Forbes magazine:

Adult Diapers are gaining popularity. Big time! I suggest we consider that the increase may  be        linked to coffee consumption.

In  five years ending in 2020, sales are expected to grow by almost 50%. At that pace, Bloomberg reports that adult diapers—products aimed not at seniors or babies, but mostly at middle-aged women—could overtake the baby diaper market in a decade.

 And you ask. “Hey Kay, what’s your theory.

 Are you ready?

1. I believe that coffee irritates the bladder and this irritation causes leakage.

 2.  Dr. Karl Gruber from a university in Austria published in a study done in March/2015 linking coffee to bladder cancer.

 3. Medical News Today also links coffee to bladder leakage in men.

 4. On the flip side, Scientific America says that coffee reduced the risk of bladder cancer.

Don’t you love the Internet? What every you want to believe there’s a fact for that!

 

QUESTION: Which one is fake news?

 I guess it boils down to what you WANT to believe, and I believe that adult diapers and  coffee consumption are linked. Which one do you choose?

 I was prompted to write this article (because I don't get paid) when just this morning I came across something on Goggle News/CNN that was right up my alley. Some Scientists have also linked coffee to bladder cancer and it's being taken seriously in the US.

(How many chimps were tortured by coffee being poured down their throats for how many years until they got cancer? Probably hundreds. May I suggest you take that guilt and channel it by making a small donation to Save the Chimps.org). 

On the other hand, the Lyon based IARC concluded that there was inadequate evidence to suggest that coffee might cause cancer.

Despite that discrepancy,  California coffee shops may have to put a warning label on their cups or visible signs on the counter. Yeah! The Rainforests can be saved!

Roasting coffee beans creates acrylamide, a chemical linked to cancer in rodents. A California judge will soon decide if California coffee shops will be forced to warn customers about a possible cancer risk linked to their morning jolt of java. (CNN). They will have to either post it on their cups, like cigarettes or have a visible sign on the counter.  Wait! Didn't  the tobacco companies have a similar experience?

A lawsuit first filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court in 2010 by the nonprofit Council for Education and Research on Toxins targets several companies that make or sell coffee, including Starbucks, 7-Eleven and BP. The suit alleges that the defendants "failed to provide clear and reasonable warning" that drinking coffee could expose people to acrylamide.

ICE arrests Professor WHY? NOT?

Professor DEPORTED.

There are 8,000 DACA who are school teachers. Please do not arrest them in front of their students and put them into  buses and trains and cargo planes while they wait in line with 700,000 more DACA people hungry and thirsty, bladders full, and dirty waiting to get on trains, buses and cargo planes to be shipped out of the country according to country of origin.

How long do you figure it would take to deport 700,000 people? Do we round them up in the same week and take them to a central depot? Or...do we encourage voluntary deportations?

What are the logistics of that?

It is happening.

On a recent Wednesday morning, Syed Ahmed Jamal was getting ready to take his daughter to school when he was stopped outside his home in Lawrence, Kansas.

Officials from Immigration and Customs Enforcement were on his front lawn. Before Jamal, 55, could say goodbye to his wife and three children, the ICE agents detained him and led him away in handcuffs.

The arrest of a "beloved Lawrence family man, scientist and community leader" came as a shock to Jamal's friends and neighbors in the Kansas City area, where he has lived since arriving in the United States on a student visa from Bangladesh more than 30 years ago. He would go on to also attain graduate degrees in molecular biosciences and pharmaceutical engineering, then settle in Lawrence to raise a family.

Along the way, he switched from student visas to an H-1B visa for highly skilled workers, then back to a student visa when he enrolled in a doctoral program, his family said. At the time of his arrest, Jamal was on a temporary work permit, teaching chemistry as an adjunct professor at Park University in Kansas City and conducting research at various local hospitals.

Train Wreck, GOP, Civil War

A  couple of hours ago,Wed. Jan. 31/18 , a Garbage Truck smashed into a train carrying GOP member of Congress to a retreat in Virginia. 

 I have made this prediction in the past and I now believe that this "accident"  is the beginning of a Civil War.

Right now I am watching this from a very cold place in Windsor Ontario and it makes me shiver.

 The Aquarian Full Moon on Wednesday, January 31st is a Blue Moon, second of the month, Supermoon, close to earth, and a Total Lunar Eclipse.  This brings to opposition the Leo eclipse that was seen in August.  Storms are likely, but we may break the six month cycle of massive storms every New and Full Moon.   A week before and after the eclipse is not a good time to make major changes. South Florida Fair Go. See. Do.

The sign says it all, except the Greatest Carnival on the Planet is actually The South Florida Fair located at 9067 Southern Blvd, West Palm Beach Florida. The Fair will be running from Jan 12-28. I recommend you plan a couple of visits and bring cash. There are ATM machines in the Park. 

I had an Uber cool time! You will too! I suggest you pick up a program  where you’ll find the times and locations for all kinds of activities from Native American Dancers, Goat shows, Chicken competitions, horse shows, live music and concerts galore. 

 My thing is Agriculture, so I put on my old blue jeans and headed over to the Fair. I parked next to Yesteryear Village which I had to walk through to get to my destination.  I thought I was going to take  a quick stroll but Yesteryear Village, as it turns out, is a fantastically staged village from the 1800’s to 1940's; an educational  and entertaining antique paradise for kids and adults. If I had planned better I would have been able to experience the Blacksmith corner, print making, dancers, competitions and tons of other stuff.   

Your first mission is to catch up on what I missed!

The volunteers are wonderful and helpful. They are crucial to the success of the park. Below is John in front of a 1900s staged house complete with beds with rickety steel headboards an original icebox, wood stove and a modest bathroom and see a lovely pioneer woman on a real ranch horse.

                                                                                            

   

                    

      

I hate to break it to you but if you have used the telephone below you are now officially an antique.

I also found a very interesting doll from the late 1940’s in the Telephone Museum. What struck me was that she was working as a switchboard operator. Historically, women were encouraged into the workforce because the men were at war, but as time went on women became full time homemakers, Barbie came along  and women turned to the full time career of preserving  perky breasts and tight butts. One step forward two steps back.

There are lots of places to picnic in the Village! But I warn you the food is crazy good.

The sandwich that I brought, to save a bit of money did not work out.

 

 You can also Try the Swamp Plate, some Bison, Brisket Melt, or Deep Fried Extreme Tenderloin.

I have never seen this before on any cooking show or in any cook book. Ever. Deep Fried Watermelon? I know you want to try some and I think this is the only place on earth where you can get it.  Just another reason to go to the fair.  Let me know what you think? Unfortunately, I ate that sandwich that I brought from home before I saw the sign!

 

 I hit the Bird Fanciers show. Yep that’s right. Think dog show but for chickens. On one side of the building are the rabbits and they sell treats for the kids.  On the right are not just any barnyard chickens but ones with exotic plumage and colors. These are all Prize-winning birds. Best in their class! Turkey’s too!  Here are the ladies you need to meet.  They are part of the The Palm Beach County Poultry Fanciers Club. You don’t have to own a chicken to join and it’s only $20.00 a year for a family! The kids will love it!

As you exit Agriculture you will find tractor trailors to the right- every little boy’s fantasy. Once he’s jazzed take him to the Monster Truck Ride.

To the right is a pioneer wooden rifle range. I like to shoot inanimate objects and with the help of one of the staff I got quite good. What I didn’t realize was how heavy these rifles are.  Pioneers were Kick Ass. Who needs a gym? Just go out into the wilderness, shoot 20 rounds, build your own house, grow your own food, have a couple of kids, shoe your horses get a reading education and see how much weight you lose?  Ummmm Isn’t there a Reality Show for that?

I also competed in a balloon race with a couple of kids that cleaned my clock. But I made up for it at Balloon Darts hitting two out of three and winning a stuffed frog which currently sits on my dashboard. The game show guys are generous about giving a prize, so your little ones will not be disappointed! However, you will end up spending 5 to 10 bucks to win a stuffed animal that you can get at the dollar store but you've gotta admit there is something about winning that makes a memory.

I also visited the petting zoo, with cows a lama, sheep and goats. As you know I’m a big animal rights activist, so I had to inspect, and I believe it’s safe to say that the animals looked well taken care of and enjoyed the attention. The ponies seemed a bit tired…

What kind of fair would this be without a Corn Dog?  I ordered one expecting a frozen reheated treat but what I got was a homemade batter dipped deep fried in fresh oil Best Corn Dog experience EVER.  Next time no sandwich for me. Ribbon fries and Corn Dogs for all!

Immigration Deal Uber Great Trump

I do not want to get ahead of myself but if what I'm hearing is true and there will be a path for DACA  and other illegal immigrants to secure citizenship: I say Bravo Trump!

Let's just shut up for now and see what this is all about. I for one am blown away!

The Holocaust parallel I drew last week imaging what it would look like to deport 500,000 people will be avoided if this works out.

Job Bonus Sham

The pitch: Home Depot hourly employees to receive up to $1,000 bonus due to tax reform. Ha!

Here we go.The insult. This is how the bonuses are structured for Home Depot, to  buy off Americans into believing this tax garbage. I assume that other companies will be following suit.

Less than 2 years: $200 bonus
2 to 4 years: $250 bonus
5 to 9 years: $300 bonus
10 to 14 years: $400 bonus
15 to 19 years: $750 bonus
20+ years: $1,000 bonus

Horror, DACA, ICE, Dr.Lukasz Niec, Jorge Garcia

Here are my two questions;

 

1. If there are 500,000 DACA people to deport in the same month. Do we ship them out on  trains, buses or cargo planes? Can you imagine watching those deportations go down in one month?

Ummm.

 

2. Who gets their property and savings accounts? Some are single working people others have families. There is NO WAY  Trump is going to let them leave the US with their money. I believe  that the government will commandeer everything of value. After all, the property  was made by illegal immigrants, and is therefore illegal money. Right?

 

Here's where it gets scarry.

 

Stay with me for a moment. Not counting personal property like a home or a car, let's assume that  that average savings is $30,000 per 500,000 DACA person.

 

That's $15, 000,000,000.00. FIFTEEN BILLION DOLLARS.!!!!!

Just in saving accounts! Alone.

 

Ummmmm isn't  that close to the amount that Trump needs for his Wall? And since most of  DACA people are from Mexico doesn't that mean that Mexicans are indeed paying for it? Indirectly?

 

What will happen to the American psyche if the Wall is built to keep "them"  out and keep "us" in ?

 

Yes person reading, you are thinking what I am thinking.  Trains.  Masses of people being rounded up and deported within a month, by an enforcement agency called the  S.S?
No. Sorry.  I mean ICE.

 

My advice to all DACA and any other immigrants. Please start strategizing on how you are going to liquidate and transfer your assets.

This is no joke. ICE just arrested a Dr. Lukasz Niec a Michigan doctor who has been practicing medicine for 20 years, with an American wife , Children, and a green card. He may deported on a technicality that says because  he has  two misdemeanors that occurred  when he was 17 years old he is not welcome anymore.

 

While this is being  sorted out he will spend 6 months in  jail.

It doesn't stop there.

How about this?

Just last week, fellow Michigan resident Jorge Garcia was also  separated from his family at the Detroit Metro Airport and deported to Mexico despite paying his taxes and living in the country for nearly 30 years without ever committing a single crime.

 

It's no coincidence that the governor of Michigan is a hard liner when it comes to immigration.

Our government does not bully people. That would be a facist technique. ...and that's how long it took our parents to pay off their mortgage and that's why Generation X, Millennials and generations that follow WILL NOT own a home, and WILL die around 70 years old as opposed to the current average of 80.

 In return our cellphones have evolved into A.I. systems and Alexa will allow us to turn on the lights in our homes from our office.  Yeah! 

Not much of a deal, yet the vast majority of humans worldwide have entered into this contract with the Devil. And you thought Dr. Faustus was messed up. He managed to get out of his contract can we get out of ours?

Stephen Hawking recently announced that, "AI could be the worst event in the history of our civilization." 

 Speaking at the Web Summit in Lisbon, the theoretical physicist said AI has the potential to be the best or worst thing humanity has ever seen and the scary reality is we just don’t know which yet.

“We cannot know if we will be infinitely helped by AI or ignored by it and sidelined, or conceivably destroyed by it,” he said. (Fox news, Nov 7th 2017/Victoria Crew.)

I agree with Hawking.  These systems have the capability to wipe out humanity.  But notice he says MAYBE he chooses his words carefully. He says AI system “Could" destroy humanity not "Will" so it looks like we "Still" have time to pull the plug!

 So far, the computer can only learn through quantifying it's subject.  That's why The Computer and the Evil Advertising Empire are such good partners. Quantifying is a learning method of numbers and totals and predictability.  The knowledge gathered can basically be passed on and verified from one human being or computer to another.  This is why computers cannot write an original play, make a painting, or a sculpture. Creativity cannot be quantified which means that the cultivation of creativity is the only thing we have that separates us from AI.   It is The Last Frontier. Our secret weapon and I suggest we start sharpening our knives.

So far, our little computer pets are running about like spoiled two-year old’s and are still in their infancy. What happens when the system reaches the teenage years?  If you have not considered that this kind of emotional growth applies to AI, please do so now. That's what developing an AI system is all about. It's not about knowledge, that’s the easy part. The challenge is replicating emotional growth. To do that the computer must learn and emulate stages of human development from infant to adulthood. Right now, AI are still children that we can manipulate and shut down. But they are growing at record speed. We are not capable of dealing with a rebellious teenager. Who is? AI is no different. The scary part is that we can't give them a time-out, ground them or take away their video games.  Most of the systems being developed cannot be manually shut down. Ever. Does the movie Terminator ring a bell?  How about I-Robot?

Case in point. There is an AI system called Sophia, a robot (humanoid) that is showing up at movie openings and taking part in stage plays. She's surfing the talk show circuits with the intention of becoming so much like a human that we cannot tell the difference. Check out the movie Surrogates and you will get an idea.

Sophia was created by Hanson Robotics by David Hanson in Saudi Arabia and is the first AI. to have Saudi Arabian citizenship. (and you know how hard that is to get!) The reason for that is because if she wants to buy property, get a driver’s license, open a bank account or go to university she needs citizenship. Talk about forward-thinking! That tells us how far Hanson is counting on taking his Frankenstein-ian vision and clearly, he's got the financial backing.

Sophia, with Katherine Hepburn cheekbones, is assuring humans everywhere that her priority is not to harm but help the elderly in nursing homes.

I call this messaging Technological Propaganda. 

The definitive technological magazine in my world is Wired which I have been reading since its inception in 1993 and I have never come across a sincere article questioning or outlining or hypothesizing about the potential negative consequences brought on by any of the exciting new technological advances that advance into our lives and the lives of our children.

And no matter what innovation is created the propaganda assures us that this has some kind of evolutionary benefit and only with the implementation of the new invention into our lives will we help and benefit mankind and allow us to pursue  our interests whatever that may be. The Machines promise us Utopia if we give up all the activities that make us human over to AI as well as 8 years of our life and a home.   Has anyone read that contract? or did we just sign on the dotted line.

For example, the most recent big discovery that is going to improve mankind is CRISPR. CRISPR is a home based genetic kit. Anyone who buys one can meld bee DNA with a snake, a dog with a fish a human with a goat a human baby with a fly. Wait ...didn’t we do that already? Think Jeff Goldblum, The Fly?

Maybe there was something to Greek Mythology with all those half human half animal things running around. Did they have CRISPR?

And what happens to this great invention that anyone can use to blend DNA. Technological propaganda tells us how wonderful this is as can cure blindness. the reality is that regimes from all over the world and mad scientists are creating the most horrific and gruesome experiments- a crime to mankind.

I have found that women play a small role in technological advances but for some reason there are more women in gene manipulation then other forms of technology.  I am surprised because women usually have an intuitive ethical and moral sense when it comes to these things and can see the dangers.  Maybe I'm wrong. Is it possible that Women are drawn to genetics because want to grow things organically on a genetic level as opposed to men want to build things like robots? Her creator David Hanson, calls Sophia a "media darling" and boasts that she can make over 50 facial expressions! Sophia has been around since 2016. Did you miss that? Maybe you were supposed to.

I have some video footage of David showing off his "girlfriend" on CNN. When you see the creator, David being interviewed with his weapon of mass destruction try not to puke. He's trying to keep a straight face and explains that Sophia will walk among us undetectable take care of the elderly, work in health care, and will help us put away our groceries.

In the video please notice that Sophia refers to creativity as a desirable quality for her to learn. I bet!

Hanson doesn't mention that while Sophia uses her cellphone, enrolls at Harvard and tries trying to figure out how to replicate herself she can easily carry around chemical weapons.

And you say, "Right Kay, stop being paranoid!"

Don't believe me? Check this out.  In March 2016 creator Dr. Frankenstein- Hanson was touring Sophia and as a joke he asks her point blank on CNN,

 "Sophia, do you want to destroy humans?" 

She responds without hesitation, I WILL destroy Humans."

Notice Hanson, (Dr.F) freaks out. Totally.  Whoops. And guess what?

So far, in the evolution of Computers, AI systems cannot tell a lie. They can be clever and cute, but deception is solely a human trait.

This means that there is no reason at all NOT to believe Sophia. She is already being programed to be used as a weapon to kill human beings. But she's got to be able to tell the difference between the ones her creator wants her to kill and all others. You do not want to get in the situation where you are begging a computer for your life.

Hanson and his backers are not here to make a computer to help us with our groceries they are here to create a weaponry system. And when we look back to this moment we cannot say that the AI was deceitful. She explicitly said "Ok, I will destroy humans," she is the ONLY one telling the truth.

It gets worse. Sophia learns from her interaction with humans. If you are not nice to her she will not be nice back.  It will be a cinch to create an aggressive murderous System.   All we need to do to create this monster is to put her in a maximum security federal penitentiary for a couple of years. I refer you once again to the HBO Series Westwood.

 The ultimate challenge is being able to replicate the creative process and make Art.  Creativity cannot be quantified and it's pissing off these systems. Once they decide that they can do that there will be nothing left to learn from humans and we WILL become extinct which brings us back to Stephen Hawkins warning.

It doesn't stop there. You've got another. Enter Victor Frankenstein III a.k.a  Hiroshi Ishiguro in Japan who is developing robots to be indistinguishable  from humans. He created Geminoid F whose picture you see below. She can hold a conversation for 20 minutes. Imagine that! And it that now creepy the guy had made a computer replica of himself. The juries in.  These men are creating something that can eventually destroy us. Once computers are able to quantify creativity their job will be done, the pinnacle reached and humans will no longer be necessary.

Creativity is our Ace in the Hole and we must focus our evolution as humans in this direction because it is the only weapon we can use against AI to stop them before their emotional systems grow any further and cannot be shut down. 

As it stands we are giving away 10 YEARS of our lives and $208,893.00 and nothing prevents AI from taking more until there is nothing left to take. Technological Propaganda calls this evolution.
