Light's Out!

The walk lights are out on 86th and second avenue. This is an incredibly busy intersection and if they don't fix this it's just a matter of time before someone has an accident.

Congradulations Bret!!!

I'd like to congratulate Bret Michaels not only for his miraculous recovery but for winning Celebrity Apprentice! Bret made a great step forward for hard working artists everywhere. He proved that the creative types while engaged in their own methods of problem solving can rise above Wall Street and hang their heads high.

I've worked on corporate projects many times and the "wall of silence" I've encountered because I'm a creative problem solver has been overwhelming.

Maybe now corporate American will stand up, take notice and start to hire the right people for the job. I defy any wallstreeter to walk a week as an artist, feed yourself and pay the rent.

Bravo Bret!!!!

Great Charity Event and Peter G. Pereira

Did you know that the church of the Epiphany on 74th and York Ave. feeds over a hundred people a week in a homeless dinner program that serves three courses?? Did you know that the food is healthy and cooked from scratch ?
Did you know that you could go to a fabulous event to support this program. That's right for a mere $40.00 ( all of which goes to the program) will be held on Friday June 4th from 6:30-10:00. There will be gourmet endless appetizers, great wine. This is an awesome place to meet new friends.
And don't forget about the live auction with, blow-you -away trips, and Yankees tickets. Call 212-737-2720 to reserve!

Also artist Peter G. Pereira will be creating an original art installation by wrapping the church pillars which are 15 feet tall and 9 feet wide!

House of the Redeemer

Every year Peter G. Pereira donates a piece of art to the House of the Redeemer located at 5 East 95th street. They host a garden party and silent auction in early June. And what my ask is this place? Well, this is the home of the Episcopalian nuns in NYC. It's also a wonderful place for a retreat in NYC.

My most favorite Bush

This is my most favorite bush EVER!! It blooms these beautiful pink flowers, and seems to last forever. A friend told me its the Rodendron bush. But I just call it the Rhode Island. You can see this beauty on York avenue, east side between 84th and 85th.

Arizona Immigration Law

So you what to know what the problem is with this horrific law? Let me illuminate you.
First, it is a standard fact that the police and immigration do not mix. If you get arrested for something the police have no business investigating your immigration status. Now that's all changed under the law. The police can pull anyone over at anytime and report their status.

The second and most disgusting part about this law is a little more complicated. Say for example you are a refugee who came here twenty years ago and you've never applied for Citizenship although you are legally a landed resident.

Under the previous federal immigration law you have to commit a felony in order to be deported. A felony as we all know is a serious crime of car theft, bank theft, murder, and rape. And this is where the new immigration law in Arizona get nuts. The definition of a felony under the law in not what you'd think.

The unbelievable fact is that under the immigration law a felony is defined as any crime that comes with a maximum sentence of a year or more. So in effect a small misdemeanor charge in criminal court becomes a felony in immigration court and basically you can piss on the street get arrested and get deported for a felony! Now got it? Now fight it!
