Travel back in time to the 16th Century at the 27th Annual Florida Renaissance Festival, coming to Quiet Waters Park, February 9th, 2019 through March 24th, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to Sunset! Over 100 Artisans selling uber-cool wares, a plethora of performers to entertain, Kid's Castle, and food and drink fit for a King! It's a magical fun Family Event for All Ages!

I picked up a Dream Catcher and realized ...no plastic bags allowed so I tied it to my belt. Bring a canvas one from home for your loot.

At the South Florida Renaissance Festival, Time travel is possible. Grab a map.

A mother and daughter create a memory

Join the Parade!

Create a family memory. Bring the kids, dress em up like pirates, magicians or pretty princesses. Once you enter the castle gates don't look back you might turn to salt and why chance that when the  Renaissance world beckons.

Want to dress up?  Buy some garb stunning leather corsets, shinny knights armor and handmade swords.

Fun and games! Who needs cellphones? Leave em at home. Virtual reality? Bla bla bla. We've got the real thing!

Costumes for sale.

Take a walk down the path into the busy village marketplace. Wait. Is that a  Warlock who lurks behind the big oak tree to the left? No worries yell for a knight in full silver armor, he will save you just as soon as you buy a butterfly from the guy in the tartan.

Say hi to the lady in green to your left.

Be careful not to bump into bawdy ladies wrapped tight in their swagger jiggles bells.

Exotic harem girls lounge in a Harem tent dressed in sheer  yellow and white summer silk dresses.  They  will offer you a cup of tea and a peaceful moment away from  the crowd.

The tapestries were beautiful - a must-have. I bought ten!  I also picked up a handmade leather mask so my husband wouldn't notice.

There's enough food to feed a fleet of Pirates arrrr! Italian Greek Chinese American and anything else you can think of. The food trucks are super clean and the food is fresh. I had a corn patty with mozzarella  cheese and a Gyro with lettuce tomato and tzatziki on a fluffy grilled PETA. And topped it off  with a cold frothy beer served in a copper mug that you can refill.

Leave the kids on a  pony in the sky.

Maybe a little henna tatoo? Grab a bag of arrows and let it fly!
On every stage entertainment waits. Sit under the shade of a tree and watch a man balance  on six stacked wooden chairs. See  Irish dancers and fire breathing hula hoops. Boredom is NOT an option.

Entertainers

Pray to an angel that you make it to the Pub crawl. $29.00 for 5 beers 5 pubs and a bawdy tour guide with scandalous tales.

Prayers answered. Made it to the Pub crawl on time !!!

Here are a couple things you should know. First it's worth every dime. Parking is free and space is no issue. It can be a hike to the main gate, but the good news is that there are pedicabs, which run back and forth for a small fee. You can't bring food or the dog. Also because there was no plastic in Medieval Times there are no plastic bags which is a fantastic idea - keeps the grounds clean. So bring a canvas bag so you can carry the goodies you purchase and purchase you will because the over 100 vendors do not play. These are serious artisans with over-the-top talents, glass blowers,  leather  workers, you name it!

Pick a themed weekend. Harry Potter anyone?  Maybe a Game of Thrones or Time Travel with Pirates.
