Alexa listens Beware

Voice recordings captured by Amazon's Alexa can be deleted but the automatically produced transcriptions remain in the company's cloud, according to reports.
After Alexa hears its 'wake' word, the smart assistant starts listening and transcribing everything it hears.

All the voice commands said to the virtual assistant can be deleted from the central system, but the company still has the the text logs, according to CNET.
This data is kept on its cloud servers, with no option for users to delete it, but the company claims it is working on ways to make the data inaccessible

Healthcare insurance companies and I BELIEBEZ the citizen ship number program in China

The new finding comes as many reports have shed light over the company's handling of sensitive data, with people scrutinising the tech they use more than ever.
An Amazon spokesperson told MailOnline: 'When a customer deletes a voice recording, we also delete the corresponding text transcript associated with their account from our main Alexa systems and many subsystems, and have work underway to delete it from remaining subsystems.'
The report follows revelations yesterday that more than a dozen consumer advocacy groups plan to file a complaint against the company with the Federal Trade Commission.
They alleged that the tech giant is violating federal laws by failing to obtain parental consent before collecting data on children through Echo devices

CnnWhistleblower Christopher Wylie, former staffer for Cambridge Analytica — the consulting firm that worked on President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign and allegedly improperly accessed data from Facebook (Cambridge Analytica has denied the allegation) — has noted that our choices of music and clothing are key clues to our political beliefs. Do you buy Wrangler jeans? If so, your political beliefs are likely conservative, according to Wylie. A recent working study by economists at the University of Chicago also found that our purchases can predict our race, gender and education with an accuracy of as much as 90%.

Plastics

Microplastics are pieces of plastic that are typically less than 5 millimeters long, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The agency says plastic is the most common type of marine debris found in our oceans and Great Lakes. In even smaller pieces, it's used as an exfoliator in face wash, body scrubs and toothpaste.
Because of the tiny size of these microplastics, they're able to pass through water filtration systems and ultimately harm marine life and damage oceans.
Americans alone eat, drink and breathe between 74,000 and 121,000 microplastic particles each year depending on their age and sex, according to a recent study. If you drink bottled water only instead of tap water, you can add up to 90,000 plastic particles to your estimated intake.

Why Trump may win

For months, the Trump campaign has boasted of its fundraising supremacy. This year alone, Trump and the Republican National Committee have jointly raised over $300 million for his reelection, with $156 million stockpiled in the bank. On the Democratic side, the cash situation is bleaker. Many donors remain on the sidelines, the Democratic National Committee is $7 million in debt and the party is girding for a prolonged nomination fight that’s likely to drain the candidates of resources.

Save the Seahorses

Seahorse populations are thought to be endangered as a result of overfishing and habitat destruction. Despite a lack of scientific studies or clinical trials,[the consumption of seahorses is widespread in traditional Chinese medicine, primarily in connection with impotence, wheezing, nocturnal enuresis, and pain, as well as labor induction. Up to 20 million seahorses may be caught each year to be sold for such uses.[54]Preferred species of seahorses include H. kellogiiH. histrixH. kudaH. trimaculatus, and H. mohnike Seahorses are also consumed by Indonesians, central Filipinos, and many other ethnic groups
Import and export of seahorses has been controlled under CITES since 15 May 2004. However, Indonesia, JapanNorway, and South Korea have chosen to opt out of the trade rules set by CITES.
The problem may be exacerbated by the growth of pills and capsules as the preferred method of ingesting seahorses. Pills are cheaper and more available than traditional, individually tailored prescriptions of whole seahorses, but the contents are harder to track. Seahorses once had to be of a certain size and quality before they were accepted by TCM practitioners and consumers. Declining availability of the preferred large, pale, and smooth seahorses has been offset by the shift towards prepackaged preparations, which makes it possible for TCM merchants to sell previously unused, or otherwise undesirable juvenile, spiny, and dark-coloured animals. Today, almost a third of the seahorses sold in China are packaged, adding to the pressure on the species.  Dried seahorse retails from US$600 to $3000 per kilogram, with larger, paler, and smoother animals commanding the highest prices. In terms of value based on weight, seahorses retail for more than the price of silver and almost that of gold in Asia.

How to Save the Planet

Now that the marches have started our actions have to begin.
Here's my take.

1. Get rid of plastic water bottles
2. Eat 60% less red meat
3. Only eat seafood once a month.

That's what's needed to  catch up to where we should be.

 Whose with me?

Wait! I almost forgot to mention... eat Beyond Meat.

The debate to tonight was great so was Joe

I think that everyone on the stage did a great job and there was a sense that everyone were united in the idea of working together led by Joe of course.

So could the media stop trying to cause division.

Carolyn and Darren Carter Lion killers

When I saw the picture of this great beast, his life sucked out of him taken  from this world I weapt. Look how large and beautiful he is.  What a
magnificent  father he must of been, a creature we've been blessed to tend. My how his pride must grieve without his love and protection.

And then came the evil Carters, bloodthirsty, without mercy love or compassion in their hearts.  Carolyn and Darren Carter from Edmonton Canada murdered him in cold blood.

They took this great father away from us, they took him away from all of us they took him away from  the world and the universe. They took him away from God.   And like the disgusting creatures they are celebrated with a kiss over his dead body. A gruesome murderous wedding vow.

Instead of mouring the Loin's long life cut short these two  creatures of the dark revelled and probably made love on that very night!

Do you notice there is no blood ???

That's because when you kill an animal to trophy hunt blood ruins the fur. So what do you do? Either hit it with an arrow and watch it bleed out for hours while you follow it along. Or, you can shoot it directly in the heart and let in bleed out quicker. OR you can poison it and watch ot writhe in pain.

Which did you choose Carolyn and Darren Carter?

Who knows what method Carolyn and  Darren Carter used but what they did is a sin to God's creature and to humankind. And I ask that
Gods wrath turn on them and those they love.

Animal rights activist unite !

Damn you Carolyn and Darren Carter. Killers !!!!

Gabriela Camara and tortured Blue Fox Fur

In June 2019 Vanity Fair did profile on chef Gabriela Camara, who considers her most luxurious possession  a BLUE FOX FUR hammock.

For real!

It's where she lays for inspiration. And by the picture I would say  at least 8 rare Blue Foxes were electrocuted, suffered for days in steel traps, drowned and skinned alive so Gabriela can  think about a recipe to feed her patrons.

This is  NOT a luxury.

Message to Gabriela:

Maybe you could create something that goes to help animals not keep your butt warm. You seem like such a hard working and inspirational person. Everyone makes mistakes but you can do something about this and send a message about the horrors of wearing and sleeping on animal fur!

See the Hammock below and then the real thing.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY Joseph John Holosko

Last week someone sent me this picture of my father. The timing was out of sight fantastic!  It really says everything about him. For almost 30 years my father was Santa Clause to thousands of children and they will forever remember him.

I know every little girl thinks of her father as Santa Clause but mine really was!!!

And he was the best father a girl could ever want and I was the apple of his eye. Not a day goes by that I do not feel his presence and I know that not only is he looking over me he is looking OUT for me !

This picture was taken with my cousin Camille and Allisa in 1958... ten years before I was born.

White Male Alabama Abortion

Below is an interesting picture. All the people on the right voted for the most restrictive abortion bill in the country with no exceptions for incest or rape. Doctors who perform abortions will serve 90 years and anyone who drives a woman to get an abortion in or out of state will be charged with Accessory to Murder.  I kid you not! Courtesy of Alabama.

Notice they are ALL white male, welcome to the Handmaidens Tale.

Trump Insider Trading

When are we going to open up our eyes to the biggest Insider Trading event that Trump does  right in front of us. The China talks on? The Dow goes  up. China talks off?  The Dow goes  down.  Some people are making a fortune off Trump  insider trading and right in front of our face. Trump decides what to do with the Dow on his own every day and throws a bone to his buddies.

Life in Prison for abortion and miscarriage

Georgia bill HB 481 is called  The Fetal heartbeat bill which will not allow women to have an abortion after a heartbeat is detected which is about six weeks but it gets worse much worse. The Handmaidens Tale has become a reality, Women who have an abortion or seek to have a  abortion  or use abortion pharmaceuticals, or miscarry  will now face life in prison

HB 481 would also have consequences for women who get abortions from doctors or miscarry.

A woman who seeks out an illegal abortion from a health care provider would be a party to murder, subject to life in prison.

And a woman who miscarries because of her own conduct—say, using drugs while pregnant—would be liable for second-degree murder, punishable by 10 to 30 years’ imprisonment.

Prosecutors may interrogate women who miscarry to determine whether they can be held responsible; if they find evidence of culpability, they may charge, detain, and try these women for the death of their fetuses.

Even women who seek lawful abortions out of state may not escape punishment. If a Georgia resident plans to travel elsewhere to obtain an abortion, she may be charged with conspiracy to commit murder, punishable by 10 years’ imprisonment. An individual who helps a woman plan her trip to get an out-of-state abortion, or transports her to the clinic, may also be charged with conspiracy. These individuals, after all, are “conspiring” to end of the life of a “person” with “full legal recognition” under Georgia law.

Joe Biden my Endorsement

At this time I have picked Joe Biden as my preference for President for this reason; after all the deconstruction of this country under the Trump administration I believe  Joe Biden will have the skills and knowledge to put it back together. He knows how the foundation was built and he is the only candidate that I feel can get it done at this point.

My Aunt Stella 98 Today! Happy B Day

My Aunt Stella was a feminist before her time!  She was one of the first women to get a science scholarship from the University of California when she was living room in a small mining town in Drumheller  Canada.
She then moved to Pacific Palisades in California where I visited her.
She got her Masters of Science when it was unheard of for women to achieve that.
And now at 97 she is as smart as a whip has no advice for aging and   loves me very much. Hope I get those genes!
Happy Birthday Aunt Stella

Orangutan shot 74 times donate https://www.sumatranorangutan.org

Once again a sick demented individual born without soul tortures an endangered species. Find him. Get him. Shoot him 74 times with his baby in his  arms and leave him to die... his idea not mine.

How's that for "an eye for an eye".
 — An orangutan mother has been blinded after being shot with at least 74 air gun pellets on Indonesia's Sumatra island, where threats to the endangered species have increased as the palm oil and paper industries shrink its jungle habitat

An X-ray showed at least 74 air gun pellets in her body, including four in her left eye and two in the right, said veterinarian Yenny Saraswati with the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation ProgramThe great ape, named "Hope" by her rescuers, also had several wounds believed to have been caused by sharp objects, she said Monday. Hope also was recovering from surgery to repair a broken collarbone.

Villagers spotted the severely wounded orangutan in a farm in Aceh province's Subulussalam district last week with her month-old baby, which was critically malnourished, said Sapto Aji Prabowo, who heads the Aceh provincial conservation agency.

The baby died as rescuers rushed the pair to a clinic in neighboring North Sumatra province's Sibolangit district.

Senior Dogs Rock

I have always adopted senior dogs and they are the most amazing friends I've ever had.

Top 10 reasons to adopt a senior dog:

 1. Older dogs are house-trained. You won’t have to go through the difficult stage(s) of teaching a puppy house manners and mopping/cleaning up after accidents.

 2. Older dogs are not teething puppies, and won’t chew your shoes and furniture while growing up.

 3. Older dogs can focus well because they’ve mellowed. Therefore, they learn quickly.

 4. Older dogs have learned what “no” means. If they hadn’t learned it, they wouldn’t have
gotten to be “older” dogs.

 5. Older dogs settle in easily, because they’ve learned what it takes to get along with others and become part of a pack.

 6. Older dogs are good at giving love, once they get into their new, loving home. They are grateful for the second chance they’ve been given.

 7. What You See Is What You Get: Unlike puppies, older dogs have grown into their shape and personality. Puppies can grow up to be quite different from what they seemed at first.

 8. Older dogs are instant companions – ready for hiking, car trips, and other things you like to do.

 9. Older dogs leave you time for yourself because they don’t make the kinds of demands on your time and attention that puppies and young dogs do.

 10. Older dogs let you get a good night’s sleep because they’re accustomed to human schedules and don’t generally need nighttime feedings, comforting, or bathroom breaks.

Meet that drumstick

I believe that you should know where the meat you eat was slaughtered and where it came from   (even better if you do it yourself). That day has arrived. Trackers are being put in live chickens so that you can name and follow then from birth to your plate.

Goodbye horrors on factory farms!

Shoppers are willing to pay a premium for ingredients that are cage-free, organic or wild caught. But how do you really know if the chicken you are eating spent its life happily pecking for corn or if your blackberries were grown locally and are pesticide free?

Simple. Put a tracking device on it.

It's not as absurd as it sounds, says Robyn Metcalfe, a food historian who teaches at the University of Texas at Austin. A GPS tracker strapped to the leg of a chicken, says Metcalfe, means "that people who potentially will buy that chicken will know every step that that chicken has taken."

ZhongAn Online, a Chinese insurance company, has already outfitted more than a 100,000 chickens with trackers. The sensors upload information, such as how much exercise each chicken gets and what it ate. The company says the technology will be on 2,500 farms in China by next year.

They are also working on facial-recognition technology so that consumers can one day make sure the organic chicken they saw on the farm is the same one that ends up on their plate.
