Stop with the fur Fendi

As I perused through the June/July issue of Harpers magazine today I came across an ad for a Fendi purse made out of fur. It struck me as the ultimate in trashy ignorance...using the fur off dead animals to sew it into a tiny face of an animal on a  purse. Oh come on Fendi!

This is tacky, insensitive, cruel and self centered. Don't buy fur. Wearing death for vanity is not a good karmatic option.

China Spice in Yorkville is Fabulous Gourmet Chinese

Get off your duff Yorkville and patronize this place. Sometimes the best things are right under your nose.

My husband and I took a little trip to China Spice around the corner tonite. We didn't get past the fantastic  appetizers. This is not your stardard NYC Chinese restaurant. It's one cut above. I'd call it Gourmet Chineese.

The egg rolls were the best I have ever tasted. And I have eaten a lot of eggs roles in my time. The tempura shrimp were presented on a fab decorative square plate with lemon slices. They were crispy and light... perfect for a hot day. We also had the Szechuan wontons which  came in a really creamy spicy red sauce that I kept pouring on everything.

Even the chicken wings were light, crispy and the perfect size.

My husband and I are appetizer fans and I can't wait to try some more. The couple who sat next to us raved about the crab Ragooon.

Go.Try. Eat. YUM

MTA and Homeland Security Suggestions

WE NEED A PLAN IF THE SUBWAY GETS STALLED.

I have been on the subway when it has grinded to a halt. The messaged are vague and I have observed that a strange paranoia starts  to set in. People start to get nervous and babies start to cry.

I began to ask what were we going to do about bathroom space? What if it gets hot? What if someone passes out? Who will step up to organize the rules? How long should we wait until we decide to take action? What action do we take and in what order?

Dear MTA could you please come up with a set of rules to follow and post it on the train in case the sound system fails?

Best Grocery Store pizza at D'Agastino on 80th and York

If you are looking for an alternative to frozen pizza you won't find a better one than the homemade pizza in the cheese  section at the D'Agastino grocery store on 80th and York.

I get  half pound of mozzarella cheese , a tomato, some mushrooms to dress it up and throw it in the oven at 425 for 20-25 min. Or until the crust turns a nice brown.

The packaging doesn't do much for consumer confidence but trust me it is a fantasic  puzza with a nice fluffy crust and none of the preservative aftertaste that you find in frozen counterparts.

It is homemade at the deli. You will thank me.

Happy 4th 2013

Relaxing in Carl Schurtz Park with Henry Hall on a beautiful July 4th. I am so grateful God has taken the time to guide my way. One thing I've learned....God does not make mistakes and he certainly did not make one when this great country was born. Happy Fourth of July 2013

Usher what were you thinking?

What a disappointing musical arrangement Usher put together for the July 4th fireworks display in NYC.

And I love Usher. He is an incredibly talented man. And I am sure the opinions of others may have gotten in the way regarding the musical selection.

The music was essentially a tribute to Usher and his friends and was
devoid of any sense of American history.

Did Usher even study American musical  history?  It appears his knowledge of American music goes back only a couple of decades.

And honestly...what was up with that rendition of God Bless America??? Did they even see the original musical score?

Here is a hint for next year..google 50 best Patriotic American songs.

Sorry Usher for my humble observations.

Otherwise, the show gets 4/5  Wows.

Leave counterfeit handbags Alone!!!

Visiting New York and buying a counterfeit handbag is probably one of the most exciting rides a girl can have.

1. There is the journey to China Town.

2. Then there is the seedy encounter with a person holding a picture of the desired object.

3. After that the journey continues through a dingy catacomb maze.

4.  The prize is spotted, the object desired, money is exchanged.

5. A journey back to the crowded streets concludes.

6.  And finally.. the coupe de resistance..wearing the bag in hometown USA.

Women come from all over the world to experience this ride.

Please don't ruin it.

Happy Birthday to Me

I would like to thank everyone for the overwheming well wishes on my birthday. I would also like to thank the big guy for another year of health and happiness.

And it would not be right to neglect to mention Kosbel Realty along with pricipals Orrin Fiengold and lawyer Allison Furman who served me with eviction papers on this wonderful day.

This is the 15th time I have been evicted by Kosbel Realty in the last three years. Yes you heard it right fifteen times.

And yes... this behavior is so fucked up that Human Rights Commission of New York City and the federal government have sued.them on my behalf.

So...its no stretch to believe that receiving these papers on this day was intentional, since I am the only thing that glues this twisted trifecta together.

Please keep informed of this story on my new blog called "Kosbel Realty. A hemorrhoid up my Ass".

I have recently received funding from a pissed off benefactor right here in NYC, and I will be making a documentary of this ongoing ungodly experience

If you have ever wanted to learn how some landlords function in NYC, and how housing court can protect your rights you  will want to watch this video log.

Star Trek Into the Darkness

Happy Memorial Day

I know the weather is shitty so here's a suggestion. Grab a lover, get an HBO series like Rome, throw a chicken in the oven, add a sinful pleasure and kick back.

Do I have an M.A. Degree

I have finally been pushed far enough to have to answer this silly question. Do I have my M. A. degree. And why do you ask?

Well unfortunately I have three very sick and twisted brothers. Specifically, Gregory Holosko , Michael Holosko and John Holosko.

Not only have these three snakes outright stolen my fathers inheritance from me they accused me of not receiving an M.A. degree.

Apparently the authority Michael Holosko called and got the incorrect information. To counter this self preservationist lie I have posted a copy of my degree online. But should this not be enough to clear my name I am posting my student number and welcome any calls to Concordia University. # 2262061.

It would not be a stretch to assume that the liar Michael Holosko may have an questionable degree of his own...maybe someone should check on that.

Also I was so sorry to hear that Adrienne Holosko was allegedly stopped for drunk driving. I only hope she gets the treatment she needs.

Further Rose Marie Holosko has unfortunately (so I heard) been in intensive treatment for drug abuse.

Lets hope she gets well soon

Helene W. Hartig on Co-op and Condo Boards In NYC

There is a magazine for everything in New York City and since Co-op and Condo boards rule their own piece of the Big Apple it follows that there is a mag for that!

I am happy to report that in the April Edition 2013 of the Cooperator- the Condo and Co-op Monthly my favorite lawyer Helen W. Hartig is quoted regarding the present state of  NYC Co-op/Condo boards. Apparently, she has noticed how difficult it is to find shareholders who want to participate in the running of a board of directors.

"Many shareholders", she says are too tired or stressed".

Ms. Hartig should know. She is currently president of the board of directors in her building on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and they are privileged to have her, (if only we could all be so lucky).

I am a firm believer in my motto... if you can get someone to do the job better than you...Get That Someone!!!

Helene W. Hartig

If you or someone you know needs to get that job done you can speak to Real Estate Lawyer Helene  W. Hartig at 212-289-4000. It will be the only call you need to make.

P.S. For those shareholders out there this might be one reason why things are not getting done in your building.

P.S.S. I received no monetary compensation for this post.  She's just that good!

Perfume shopping Revolutionized!!

Finally.. the day we have all been waiting for has arrived. The act of shopping for perfume has been revolutionized by one of my favorite stores...L'Occitane on 86th street and 3rd avenue in Manhattan.

Check out the cones!!!

Simply lift one up, take a sniff and move on to the next. No spray no mess.

Gone are the days of spraying  scents on various parts of your arms and irritating your nose to a point where it is impossible to distinguish one scent from another.

Bravo L'Occitane!!!!!!
